Joe Galliott, 65, fell against the sofa during a power cut at his home in Somerset,England, and could not free himself because of back problems, the BBC reported.
Joe passed the time by getting drunk from a bottle of whisky that he maganeged to roll close enough for him to open.
Joe remained trapped for 60 hours until a neighbour came to the rescue.
