They may also be sporting fingerless gloves, modified with yet more speakers which are in turn wired to Apple iPhone's.

31-year-old Wangs other creative genius is the Ocarina - a palm-sized, flute-like wind instrument that sounds like pan pipes. The iPhone application has netted Wang hundreds of thousands of dollars from the iTunes store, and counting.

"You don't need to be a big development company," Wang says. "It doesn't take a lot of time to try ideas on this thing." Ocarina was built in just two weeks.

Ocarina uses to iPhones microphone so that a players actual breath is used to create a desired sound, along with moving your fingers over the touch pad of the iPhone, similar to a real musical instrument.

The application even allows users to ease drop on other Ocarina users who are playing music at any time somewhere on the planet. Its what Ge Wang calls "melodic social media".
