e-cigarette: Ban "Safe" Cigarette Technology? E-cig Can be Bought Online Shopping Sites

E-cigarette or e-cig can be bought at online shopping web sites, bans may be coming to countries across the world because not enough is known about "safe cigarette".

It doesn't contain nasty poisin, tar, carbon monoxide or nicotine! The e-cigarette or e-cig has world government regulators in a head spin over the dangers "smoking" the tube full of liquid nicotine.

The battery powered device can be bough from various online shopping web sites, but some countires have allreaddy banned the rapidly rising technology because opponnets say not enough is known about possible health problems that may be associated with it.

First developed in China, the cigarettes were mainly bought online but are now appearing more often in street markets and retailers as consumers try to get around the smoking ban, the BBC said.

Of particular concern is the fact that e-cigarettes contain up to 18mg of liquid nicotine in refill cartridges. If these were to get in the hands of children the e-cig nicotine recharge cartigages could be fatal if swallowed.

E-cig's are allreaddy banned in Australia and US and EU authorities are now looking into a similar bann.

Anti-smoking group Ash has also pointed out that many of the products are made in China, where it says quality control is "not very good".

Jason Cropper, managing director of the Electronic Cigarette Company, has previously revealed that tests done on mice had shown the products to be safe, although no human trials have been done.

But surely its safter than real smoking, plus non-smokers may now never have to put up with second hand smoker ever again, if all smokers replaced thier cigaretts with a battery powered tube?

A ban on a product like this is downright disgusting. I do not smoke and I do not own an e-cig, but I can say that at the very most, the FDA can require the product packaging to say that it isn't FDA approved and not tested on humans. But, banning a product that I've heard in countless testimonials have finally helped people quit smoking makes me sick. I find it hard to believe that the argument for the ban is safety oriented, when it seems to me this product will cost the government a portion of its precious tax revenue that they get from people killing themselves. I'm all for people's choice to smoke tobacco, and that product is not illegal, while I think it's safe to say it is a bit more harmful then inhaling water vapor. This ban is a load of crap, and the government knows it. This is about keeping their blood money.
