Being based in New York and on massive salary's, the US national media is mostly immune from the massive "Great Recession" hitting mainstream America right now.
So instead of actually going out and reporting on Americas biggest economic crisis since like the Great Depression, the US media has been hyping up a smack down match between fake news comedy host Jon Stewart (who has way too much political clout for a comedican) and CNBC financial channel anchor Jim Cramer, who Steward blames for being fron and centre in the downfall of the American economy by "selling snakeoil as vitamins"
