Australian politician Hajnal Ban has revealed she is the mystery author behind a book called entitled God Made Me Small, Surgery Made Me Tall about a remarkable height gain in an effort to gain respect as a lawyer.
Searching for a higher purpose, leggy Australian politician, book author and lawyer Hajnal Ban AKA Sara Voramen.

Bizarrely going under the pseudonym Sara Vornamen for years, Queensland state politician Hajnal Ban disguised herself in a wig and glasses to hide her identity in order to sell the internationally recognised book about self shame and embarking on a hard knocks career as a female lawyer and politician.

Unhappy about being taunted at school about her height, local government Councillor Hajnal Ban thought “shortism” was adversely influencing her future career prospects.

Deciding enough was enough, Hajnal Ban decided to do something about the perceived culture of anti-short around her. Hajnal Ban booked herself a flight to Russia for risky and every expensive bone breaking height altering surgery.
Hajnal Ban running for office, a natural blonde, broke her legs to be taken seriously.

What pushed Hajnal Ban to undertake the expensive and dangerous operation? A tall legal client who when seated was taller than Hajnal Ban when she was standing.

But so dangerous is the controversial height altering operation, no local Australian doctors were willing to undertake the procedure for Hajnal Ban. The procedure described as something from a Medieval torture chamber is known to cause infection, extreme pain over many months, and in some cases the need to amputate.

In her book Hajnal Ban, or Sara Vornamen described the pain: "Even the slightest movement caused horrendous pain. It was as though my feet were held firmly in a vice and were forcefully moved against the tight grip."

But after months of pain and agony, triumph: "I felt incredibly taller. In fact, I was almost eight centimeters taller, and could really notice the difference. When I looked down, the ground seemed further away from me and I felt as though I was wearing high heeled shoes. There was no denying that I was taller. In fact, there was no denying I was no longer short!"

In the operation Hajnal Ban had her legs broken in four places and remained in a Russian medical facility as she grew about 1mm a day to increase her 154cm frame to 162cm.

"It's not an operation everyone will agree with – there are some people who are just totally against cosmetic surgery, full stop, so I know it's not everyone's cup of tea," she said.

"I guess that's the other reason I chose to go under a pseudonym because it's a private decision and I didn't want to be ostracised and talked about as a person and why I chose to do it. It was more about the operation, not about me."

Hajnal Ban is tipped to run for a 'higher' office in the near future.
