Its not the first time Mattel have tested the tattoo barbie waters. Back in the late 90's business media reported that the toy making behemoth wanted to bring out a tattoo barbie, but the barbie with tats was quickly shot down.
Mattel must have thought the world has moved on a little since those conservative days, maybe they thought wrong.
