When police and other authorities arrived at the scene there was no sign of Bonnie Sweeten or Julia Rakoczy.
However bizarrely, a few hours later, Bonnie Sweeten made another call to emergency 911. In this call Bonnie Sweeten said that she Julia Rakoczy had been forced into the trunk a black Cadillac.
The car accident earlier in the day turned out to be an attack on Bonny Sweeten and Julia Rakoczy. Or was it?
The bizarre case is now being investigated by FBI who say there are many inconsistencies in the alleged kidnapping of Bonnie Sweeten and her daughter Julia.
Pennsylvania police in the Upper Southampton Township, where Bonnie Sweeten’s vehicle was reportedly bumped from behind on a busy road, was the centre of the invesigation to find Bonnie Sweeten and her daughter.
FBI agent J.J. Klaver told NBC affiliates that there were “inconsistencies” in the account of the accident and abduction.
“We’re not really in a position to address some of these issues right now. Our priority is getting everybody back safely,” agent JJ Klaver said.
Julia's father Anthony Rakoczy appealed on national television for the release of his daughter and ex-wife, Bonny Sweeten.
Anthony Racoczy said that he and Bonnie Sweeten had maintained a good relationship since they divorced in 2003, and that he knew no reason for anyone to harm her or their daughter.
Julia Rakoczy was pulled out of school back on May 1, indicating to investigators the carjacking claims by Bonnie Sweeten could be malicious.
"I'm still in shock," he said on NBC's Today show. "She's a great mother."
Mysteriously 12 hours after Bonnie Sweetens emergency carjacking call, Philadelphia police located Bonnie Sweeten's SUV in the CBD of the city.
A police officer spotted the SUV about 1:30 a.m. at 15th and Chestnut Streets in Center City, two blocks from the cell phone tower that picked up Sweeten's call, police said. A parking ticket was on the windshied.
The NAACP cried that this was racist. Well the police didn't act on her lies. They didn't rush out and start arresting black males. That would have been racist. Where was the credit for the police acting sensibly when the people in Boston, Susan Smith and now Bonnie Sweeten all lied about being assaulted by black males? The police aren't stupid. In each of these cases they knew they were being lied to.
