Young candidate Emma Kiernan, standing in the local council Fine Gaele election, features on a social networking picture enjoying the 30th birthday party of a friend. Hottie Emma Kiernan is seeking a seat on the local Newbridge Town Council, media reports.
27-year-old Emma Kiernan is snapped enjoying the party while a friend candidate out and about partying with two friends in a playful, likely drunken pose.
Irish media reports say the racy Emma Kiernan picture was posted and tagged on a friend's Facebook page without her knowledge.
The Leninster Leader newspaper noted that photos of Emma Kiernan tagged by her friends are available to view through Emma Kiernan's own Facebook page. The local newspaper noted that Emma Kiernan would have been able to view the photos herself.

The Emma Kiernan Facebook picture scandal may actually be a plus for the budding politician. Irreverent fans of Emma Kiernan have even set up for 'Vote for Emma Kiernan' Facebook group based around the sexy Emma Kiernan picture and mini scandal.
"Please help us by voting for Emma Kiernan so we can see some group page at the next Fine Gael Ard Feis." The Vote for Emma Kiernan group states.
When contacted by media, the wanna be politician, Emma Kiernan was dismayed at all the fuss over the racy Facebook picture.
"I'm actually surprised that anyone was interested in that photograph," she said when contacted by the Leinster Leader.
"It wasn't on my own Facebook site," she explained. "But my attention was drawn to it on Monday evening when it was raised on several boards (Internet chat forums] like politics.ie.
"So as soon as I heard I contacted my friend who had it removed from her profile.
"Admittedly it's not a great photograph," she said, "and if it did cause offence to anyone, I'd like to apologise."
She stressed she hadn't posted the photograph herself.
"I can only police my own Facebook profile – not anyone else's."
