The entertainment, political, and world news media have quickly turned to the young woman at the centre of the Silvio- Veronica Lario Berlusconi divorce fallout, 18-year-old Noemi Letizia.
Veronica Lario told Italian media that she could no longer take her husband's dating and adventures with younger party girls, and that she finally wanted to end the marriage.
The divorce statement from Veronica Lario was apparently sparked by Silvio's attendance at Noemi Letizia's recent lavish 18th birthday party, Italian media said.
Both Noemi Letizia and the Italian PM had been meeting for dates for some time, its thought.
"I am going to ask for a divorce. I want to do the right thing - I cannot stay with a man who surrounds himself with minors," Berlusconi wife Veronica Lario said.
The newspaper quoted Mrs Berlusconi complaining that Silvio took time to attend Noemi Letizia's birthday bash, but Silvio the father could not find time to be at his own children's birthday parties.

According to Italian media Noemi Letizia was gifted a gold necklace by the Italian Prime Minister when he attended Noemi Letizia's lavish party at a luxury villa.
The Italian PM and Noemi Letizia met each other though Letizia's parents, an excited Noemi Letizia said.
She also said the Prime Ministers attendance at her 18th birthday party was a big surprise. The PM also signed a photograph of himself for Noemi Letizia as well as a book that read: "To my little Noemi, my little graphic artist, your little daddy teacher.”
