Officials with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum said t the area was filled to its maximum, at least an hour before the parade began.
LA media talked at lenght about the estimated US$2 million cost of the LA Lakers NBC Victory parade in downtown LA. Critics of the LA Lakers celebration complained that a city a half-billion dollars in debt could not afford or fund the celebration.
To cover the cost of the LA Lakers celebration, live video you can see below via CBS, were covered in part by billionaires Eli Broad and Ed Roski. Both rich LA fans kicked in $850,000, and the Lakers the owners of the LA Lakers home court, Staples Center, paid $1 million in costs.
