Alice in Wonderland's 21st cenruty make over includes actors' Anne Hathaway, Matt Lucas, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry and Helena Bonham Carter. The characters in 2010's Alice in Wonderland will be digitally altered, making the cast look far removed from their normal selves.
"It has been Burtonised" Alice in Wonderland producer Richard Zanuck describes the Tim Burtons vision in USA Today.
On Johny Depps' Mad Hatter, Zanuck said "this character is off his rocker".
"We finished shooting in December after only 40 days," Richard Zanuck told USA Today. Now the live action film is being merged with advanced CG animation and motion-capture creatures to create what should be a Hollywood masterpiece. Alice in Wonderland is set to be screened in 3-D.
Australian actress, 19-year-old Mia Wasikowska, will star as Alice. The film will open March 5, 2010.
