South Korean electronics and consumer product maker LG has announced its famous LG-GD910 3G Wrist Phone will soon be available to consumers across Europe and possibly North America.
The much talked about LG-GD910, is the first 3G HSDPA with video conference capabilities and an impressive 1.43” color touchscreen LCD, TTS (Text To Speech) and MP3 capabilities, Tech blogs note.
Announced in late 2008, the Wrist Phone is popular in LGs native South Korea, and will be soon seen at casinos and 6 star hotel rooms in a city near you.
Woo Paik, LG's chief technology officer, demonstrated the GD910 wristwatch phone at an electronics industry convention for the first time in January '09.
The wrist phone will provide two hours of talk time from a single charge, technology sources said.
An integrated camera on the wrist phone lets the user make on the go video calls over a 3G connection, James Bond style.
The LG GD910 wrist phone weights less than 84g. The 1.4in screen on the LG DG910 is touch sensitive , the LG GD910 wrist phone only had three physical buttons.
Other features of the LG GD910 wristphone include MP3 capability, Bluetooth, text-to-speech commands and speaker phone.
