A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has hit the North Pole, the USGS says.

The5.9 June 7 North Pole Arctic earthquake struck the Baffin Bay area. Baffin Bay is a region between Greenland and the northern territorial lands of Canada. The area is mostly under thick ice during most of the year.
Baffin Bay was the epicenter of a 7.3 magnitude earthquake in 1933 according to sources.
The 5.9 June 7 earthquake at Baffin Bay was centred at 75.275°N, 72.201°W the USGS said.
The North Pole earthquake hit around 10 kilometers under the sea floor.
