Reports say North Korean leader has pancreatic cancer.After appearing recently at an event in North Korea, intelligence analysts were left scrambling to explain by the 'Dear Leader' and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il looked ot pale, skinny and sick.
Now reports say from South Korean say Kim Jong-Il is suffering severely from cancer of the pancreas. The reports also say the Dictator is very likely to succumb to the disease.
The 67-year-old, Kim Jong Il was apparently diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer after having a stroke last August.
The Kim Jong-Il pancreatic cancer news came from the Yonhap Television News citing several Chinese and South Korean government intelligence sources.
The news of Kim Jong-Ils pancreatic cancer comes a day after a report in a Japanese newspaper saying the North Korean leader had a case of serious pancreatic disease.
A Professor of North Korean affiars in the UK, Toshimitsu Shigemura, told media he belived the North Korean leader has little time to live.
Professor Toshimitsu Shigemura: "He does not have all that much longer to live and my sources say the doctors' diagnosis is that he will die before the end of the year," Shigemura said.
"He is still being treated for the main problem, which is complications arising from his diabetes, and it had been expected that he could die as soon as this summer," Toshimitsu Shigemura said. The North Korean affairs Professor cited sources within Kim Jong-Il's extended family.
South Korean intelligence agency recently reported signs that Kim Jong-Il was setting plans in place for his youngest son 25-year-old Kim Jong Un to succeed him.
North Korea has launched a series of missiles and exploded a second nuclear device in the past few months, signs that the North Korean dictator may be looking for attention as his health continues to diminish.
