Daniel Jimeno Romero Video: San Fermin Bull Run, Cappuccino the Bull Gores Man to Death

The annual running of the bulls in Spain attracts tens of thousands of tourists to Spain every year. On Friday July 10 bull run in San Fermin, a man named as Daniel Jimeno Romero was gored to death and several others severely wounded after a rabid bull named Cappuccino was separated from the pack.

27-year-old Madrid man Daniel Jimeno was severely gored in the neck, leading to his death after being taken to hospital.

Alex Short told UK media afer: "People were running and falling over trying to get out of its way....It charged at me as I was running to get over the fence. I was thrown into the air, then it gored me in the thigh."

Victim Daniel Jimeno Romero is the first to die from a bull in the event since 1995, however another man died in 2003 months after a goring from problems associated with his injuries sustained in the July bull run.

A surgeon at the hospital where Daniel Jimeno Romero was taken said the man suffered a fatal wound to the neck and internal organs including the heart and lungs. A horn of the bull named Cappuccino pierced the left shoulder area of Daniel Jimeno Romero's neck and went right through to the heart and lungs.

The death of Daniel Jimeno Romero is the first in the Spanish running of the bulls since 1995 media said. US national, 22-year-old Matthew Tassio. Friday's death of Daniel Romero raises to 15 the toll since record-keeping began in 1924.

Beside the death of Daniel Jimeno Romero, Spanish media said at least four people were gored by bulls in San Fermin Friday after the days running of the bulls event got out of hand.

Another six people were hospitalized with minor injuries after Friday's run in San Fermin. San Fermin is the sight of the biggest bull running festivities every year in the north of Spain.

The Daniel Jimeno Romero incident involved one of the six bulls in the Friday July 10 pack charging right and left. The crazed bull was so mad it even began running back the wrong way.

The crazed bull that killed Daniel Jimeno Romero, Cappuccino, was also pictured charging at a wooden barrier where bull runners clung for safety from the crazed San Fermin bull.

The bull also picked one man up with its horns and flipped him into the air, reports said.

Cappuccino is the smallest bull and is seen breaking away from the pack early, and harrassing stunned bull runners in the last part of the video broadcast Friday on Spainish TV.



Update: Spanish media broadcast a video showing Daniel Jimeno Romero being gored by Cappuccino the bull as he sort protection on a wooden fence.

Hi I´m from Spain. I want to say that a lot of people in Spain do not agree with the bull running or bullfighting, it´s very difficult to forbid this fiesta because it has been like that for to many years. Excuse my bad language.
