iranian cyber army group.Social networking site Twitter has been hacked by a group calling itself the ”Iranian Cyber Army.”
Somehow the group managed to bypass Twitter’s security walls and managed to deface the website around 10PM US Pacific Time, 1AM ET.
The official Twitter status page said: "Twitter’s DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed.”
It is now highly recommended all Twitter users change their password from Twitter and even other accounts if they use the same password.
Twitter has been a vital part of a multi-month uprising by pro-democracy groups and students in Iran. The use of Twitter to disseminate information and organize protests have been key to the success of the uprising against the Iranian state.
