A mysterious bill board with a picture of former US President George W Bush and a caption saying “miss me yet” has appeared on a US roadside.
The Miss Me Yet George Bush billboard was first dismissed as an Internet photoshop hoax, but reporters on the ground in Wyoming, Minnesota say the sign is very real.
Reporter Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assured listners across the United States the George Bush Miss Me Yet poster was very real:
There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: “Miss Me Yet?”
The person or group who funded the billboard have not yet been identified and its true meaning not yet known.
Since Bob Collins blog posted about the Bush Miss Me Yet billboard, right wing and left wing political blogs have picked up the story and claimed various version of events.
Conservatives claim the mystery billboard was paid for by a citizen disenchanted with the first year of President Barack Obama’s tenure.
Left wing blogs suggest the poster may have been organized by someone looking to remind voters of the last President, who left office with record low approval ratings in January 2008.
Talk radio and politically slanted news channels MSNBC and Fox News have been busy speculating about the sign.
Whatever the meaning, the George W Bush Miss Me Yet poster is a water cooler talking point in a continually politically polarized nation.
