Hollywood train wreck Lindsay Lohan has the British tabloids licking their collective lips, telling followers on social networking site Twitter that she wants to move to the United Kingdom to live.
Lindsay Lohan wrote on Twitter "Moving to the UK is in my near future* better dj's/music and Paris is just a Chunnel away!"
The Lindsay Lohan proposed sea change came on the same day news media reported the 23-year-old actress admitted to intense drug and alcohol use that saw her arrested in California numerous times.
With an ongoing relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, Linday Lohan admitted to abusing alcohol and illegal substances, particularly cocaine, in reaction to her love and relationship problems. Lohan singled out 2007 as a particularly bad time, when her father began talking about her to the media.
Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan said: "When my father was going public, that's when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn't the answer to my problems.
"I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine, and mind-altering substances. Now I'm in a place where I don't need to use anything and I feel emotions because I choose to.
"I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life. I've made some dreadful mistakes but learned from them - that has probably saved my life."
