A Californian cougar, Terri Carlson, is looking for the right man to marry, launching a web site Will Marry for Health Insurance.

The 45 life long Republican, Terri Carlson suffers from C4 complement deficiency, an autoimmune disease that severely prevents her body from fighting infections.

Now, under Americas complicated health care system, Terri Carlson is about to lose her health insurance and wants man to marry to potentially save her life.

Desperate and divorced, Terri Carlson doesn't even care what her next husband does, his personality or what he looks like, all she wants is a man with a decent health insurance plan.

“I don’t care what you look like,” Terri Carlson says on her Will Marry for Health Insurance Web sit.

“But what I do care about is how good your health insurance is. So, you want me to respond to you? Attach your health care benefit information,” Terri Carlson says.


In a recent video interview, Terri Carlson explains that the current deadlocked US political system is forcing her to marry a stranger for health insurance: “They’re not going to pass health care reform, so what are my options?” Terri Carlson said.

“Friends and I were joking, and one friend said, ‘Well, you could always marry some guy who has a good policy.’ And I thought, You know what? That’s crazy. That’s unbelievable, but it’s my only option.”

So far Terri Carlson says she had around 7,000 emails from men across America and other parts of the world proposing their hand in marriage. Terri Carlson also says she doesn't know how she is going to shift though all her marriage applications and find the right guy in time before her current health cover runs out.

The desperate mom also says she had hundreds of emails of support from Americans in a similar situation.

“They have the most heartbreaking stories,” Terri Carlson said. “They’re saying things like, ‘You’re a voice for us’ and ‘Please help us.’ It just breaks my heart.”
