A British politician's personal assistant, 25-year-old beauty Katia Zutuliveter, has been accused of acting as a spy for the Russian government.
The assistant to Liberal Democrat and UK Government MP Mike Hancock, Katia Zutuliveter faces deportation after a lenghty investigation by UK spy outfit MI5.
UK media report today that Ms Katia Zatuliveter has been detained by the UK government.
MP Hancock is on a powerful UK defence committee member in the House of Parliament and has strong links to the UK Navy.
The Sun newspaper quoted an unnamed UK intelligence source on Katia Zutuliveter: "Her presence here is not considered to be conducive to national security. There was unhappiness about what she could have access to. The intention is to show her the door."
The news comes months after the US detained several Russian spies, including the story of beauty Anna Chapman that grabbed tabloid front pages across the world.
UPDATE: UK media now report Katia Zatuliveter will be deported, and classified her as a "sleeper" agent. It's the first time since the end of the Cold War that a person has been accused of spying for the Russians in British Parliament.
