A blimp has crashed in Friedbeg Germany, local media reported
The Goodyear blimp was taking three news reporters for a trip around Friedberg, Germany Sunday night when the Zeppelin caught fire and began to loose control.
The hero pilot of the Goodyear blimp managed to control his Zeppelin so that his three passengers could jump out at around 5 or 6 meters.
The pilot then attempted to land the blimp before rising several dozen meters into the air again. The fire continued to rage as the Goodyear Blimp crashed to the ground, with flames engulfing the pilot, reporters from Bild and RTL TV said.
Video: A Youtube user was driving past the area when the Blimp began to loose control. The below video from Sunday 13 June 2011 shows the Zeppelin out of control before falling to the earth.
